2. Information we collect
We collect information you provide when you submit a form, request a quote, subscribe, communicate with us, or use our services. This may include your name, work contact details, organisation, role, enquiry details, correspondence, service records, and information needed to respond to or deliver the requested service.
We may also collect limited business contact information from an organisation's own website, an official public register, a recognised industry directory, or another current public business source. This is limited to information relevant to a possible business relationship, such as the organisation name, business domain, public business contact route, professional role, source URL, observation date, and evidence of a relevant business need. We do not use bought contact lists, people-search databases, guessed email addresses, or sensitive personal information for this programme.
3. Why we use information
We use personal information to:
- respond to enquiries and provide requested services;
- assess whether TechTribe's services may be relevant to an organisation;
- send limited, relevant one-to-one business communication where permitted;
- operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve our website and services;
- measure marketing and service performance; and
- meet legal, accounting, security, and record-keeping obligations.
Depending on the activity, we rely on your consent, steps requested before entering a contract, performance of a contract, compliance with a legal obligation, or our legitimate interest in operating TechTribe and offering relevant business services. When we rely on legitimate interests, we limit the data and communication, assess relevance, provide this notice and a free way to object, and do not proceed where your rights and interests override ours.
4. Limited business-development communication
If we contact you using public business information, the message identifies TechTribe, explains the relevant business purpose and the general source or category of the information, and provides this policy and a simple way to object. You are not required to reply and there is no adverse consequence if you do not reply. An objection, complaint, or opt-out stops further outreach to that address and cancels pending follow-ups.
5. AI-assisted work and automated decisions
TechTribe uses tightly controlled AI tools to assist public business research, relevance assessment, drafting, and reply classification. Iris identifies herself as an AI agent working for TechTribe. Deterministic controls, source requirements, sending limits, suppression rules, and human escalation govern external communication. We do not make decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects about a person.
6. Sharing and processing outside Zimbabwe
We do not sell personal information. We use service providers for hosting, security, communications, calendar functions, analytics, and controlled AI assistance. These providers include Zoho Mail, Cloudflare, Google Workspace where separately used, and approved AI model providers. Some processing may occur outside Zimbabwe. We limit the information shared, restrict provider access to the required purpose, and use available contractual, organisational, and technical safeguards appropriate to the service and information involved.
7. Cookies, analytics, and advertising
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, understand traffic, measure marketing, and improve the experience. Depending on the active configuration and your choices, these may include Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, Google Ads conversion tracking, Microsoft Clarity, and the Meta Pixel. Advertising tools may receive online identifiers or hashed contact details when a form is submitted and the relevant consent and configuration permit it.

8. Retention
We keep identifiable information only for as long as needed for the stated purpose. Public business research that does not lead to contact is reviewed or removed within 90 days. If a recipient does not respond, the active outreach record is closed after the final permitted follow-up and direct contact data is deleted or de-identified within 90 days, unless another lawful reason requires it. Enquiry, client, and active business correspondence is normally retained for the relationship and up to 24 months after the last substantive interaction, subject to legal, accounting, contractual, or dispute requirements. We retain only a minimal protected suppression record for as long as needed to honour a permanent opt-out.
9. Your rights and choices
You may ask what personal information we hold about you, request access or correction, object to processing, withdraw consent where consent applies, and request deletion or restriction where available. You can object to direct marketing at any time, free of charge, by replying to the message or emailing us. We action outreach opt-outs immediately. You may also complain to the Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe in its role as the Data Protection Authority.
10. Security
We use technical and organisational controls intended to protect information against unauthorised access, alteration, loss, disclosure, or misuse. These include access limits, private storage, authentication controls, data minimisation, suppression checks, provider monitoring, and incident handling. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
